Photos by Tariq Rauf.<\/em>VIENNA (IDN) \u2013 The first nuclear explosive device was detonated at the Alamogordo Test Range in the New Mexico desert in the United States of America on\u00a0July 16, 1945, and then on August 6 and 9 the US carried out the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indepthnews.net\/index.php\/opinion\/3747-looking-back-at-the-hiroshima-and-nagasaki-nuclear-attacks-on-75th-anniversary\">atomic bombing<\/a>\u00a0of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
