at the House of Lords.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7096.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7096-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16236\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Hosted by the Lord Qurban Hussain, the high-profile inauguration attracted a distinguished audience that included peers and MPs from both Houses of Parliament, serving and former British diplomats, leading academics from Oxford, SOAS and King\u2019s College London, senior executives from energy, mining and infrastructure companies, representatives of international NGOs, and members of the national press.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7068.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7068-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16237\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7106.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7106-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16238\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Crucially, the event brought together official delegations and senior figures from T\u00fcrkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Iran \u2013 a clear signal of the Council\u2019s ambition to function as an authentic bridge between London, Brussels and the rapidly evolving nations of Eurasia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the distinguished patronage of Lord Qurban Hussain, who delivered the opening address, speakers repeatedly emphasised the timing of the launch amid rising geopolitical tensions, fragile global supply chains and accelerating climate impacts across the region.<br>\u201cEurasia stands at the crossroads of the world\u2019s most acute challenges \u2013 great-power competition, economic instability and the existential threat of climate change,\u201d Lord Hussein declared. \u201cThe Eurasia Policy Council offers the neutral, expert-led space required to address these complexities with intellectual rigour, dignity and a shared commitment to peace.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7102.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7102-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16240\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7129.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7129-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16251\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Afzal Khan MP, a long-standing champion of stronger UK\u2013Central Asia ties, described the initiative as \u201cboth timely and essential\u201d. \u201cAt a moment when multilateral institutions are under strain, the EPC will help Britain and Europe forge deeper, more resilient relationships with a region indispensable for energy security, critical minerals and the future of the rules-based order,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7075.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/londonpost.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/IMG_7075-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-16241\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Salman Sheikh, a prominent strategist on Eurasian and Middle Eastern affairs, focused on the economic opportunity: \u201cEurasia is emerging as a hub for green energy, rare-earth elements and new transport corridors.
